The National Book week Festival (17-22 Sept)

Michael Oguttu since the begining of this week has been in Buikwe to participate in the Annual Book week festivals. Yesterday Wed. 19th was the official opening with so many people from schools, the community and other stakeholders. He says the even is very wonderful and well, I think we can only wait for a full report from him.
Tomorrow at Garden City Exhibition Hall in Kampala is yet another very important even to crown the Book week. All the big stakeholders i.e. NLU, NABOTU, ULA, UCLA and many others will not miss this event. I missed that of last year and this one will not pass me by. Winners of the NABOTU Literacy awards will be awarded their prizes. Just wait for more about this.

Library Training

Michael Oguttu from the INFORALL - Library and Jeffery Kabala from the UTRT Mpigi community Library are completing a 6 weeks library training course where they have been learning different skills in handling library work. This equips them with the experience and confidence to run the day to day affairs of these two libraries and see them grow to very strong reliable institutions to the different beneficiaries in their respective communities. Big thanks to UTRT for this great initiative.
